Kadhi

                                         Simple Kadhi

                    Kadhi is just the yogurt soup/ sauce however you call it . It is very simple and easy to make and needs few ingredients and very light to the eat.
                    We can add in few more ingredients like ginger paste , pakodas etc to make it little heavy and spice it up with little more chilli powder.In this recipe i wanted to keep it simple...so here is the recipe...

Ingredients

Curd                      - 1 cup
water                     - 1 - 1&1/2 cup
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp 
turmeric powder   - 1/4 tsp
salt
Besan/gram flour - 2 & 1/2 tbsp

oil
curry leaves
mustard -1 tsp
chilli      - 1 slit



In a bowl mix the water, curd, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt.
In a katori mix the besan with 1/4 cup of water without any lumps and add this in the curd  mix.[I use to strain the besan mixture to avoid the lumps]

Now heat a pan and add oil to it.
When hot add the mustard, curry leaves, chilli.
Then add the curd besan mix and keep stirring on low flame making sure that it doesn't get burnt in the bottom of the vessel.
When it starts to boil taste it [ if the raw smell and taste of besan is gone it is done]
After few minutes of boil switch off and serve it  with hot rice.
The consistency will be of a soup....
Enjoy the sour  of the curd and little spicy of the chilli....mmmm yummy
