                             Kushboo Idli

                  Idli is one of the easiest and lightest, tastier breakfast . As it is steamed I consider it little healthy one too. I wanted to try making idli with different ingredients but wanted still to be softest and healthier one. While i was just browsing in the internet i saw the recipe using SAGO for the idli With little bit alterations i made this Kushboo Idli which turned out soft and fluffy.Try this one i am sure you will enjoy it.

Raw Rice                - 2 cups
Urad dhal                - 1/2 cup
Sago/Javvarisi        -1/4 cup (white one and not the clear ones)
Salt
Eno                         - 1/2 tsp

Soak the rice, urad , sago together for 10 hours or overnight.
We can soak each of them separately ,but i did soak all of them together.
Don't forget to wash them first.
Then grind them to a smooth consistency and it should be not too thick or too thin
Allow it to ferment for 8 hours.
Then add eno to it and mix it.
Then make the Idli in the idlicooker or the traditional way with cloth.
 Steam it for 15-20 minutes ,,,,,Kushboo idli are ready.
Serve it with sambhar and chutney
Nice ,spongy, and soft...and sago is also put to used in a different way...
