Kambu Idli/Bajra Idli
Easy to make
Kambu Maavu/Kambu flour - 2 cups
Urad dhal - 1/2 cup
Fenugreek - 1/2 tsp
salt - 1 tsp
Soak the urad dhal and fenugreek seeds for 3-4 hours.
Then grind it to smooth texture.
Mix the Kambu/Bajra flour with water without any lumps and add the ground urad flour to it .
Add the required salt and mix to consistency of not too thick , not too thin.
Let it ferment for 8 hours .
Then Make the Idli as usual.
Nice soft and fluffy Bajra Idli/Kambu idli are ready .
Serve hot with Easy Tomato Chutney.
Another alteration is we can add 1/2 tsp Eno to the Idli batter and make the Idli too.
Here i have posted the picture of Idli made using eno and without eno. First picture is without Eno and the second is with Eno. Try it and let me know your feedback. I am sure everybody will like it.
