                                  Coconut Thuvaiyal

                                    Thuvaiyal is like a chutney but with thicker version and mostly used for both rice and dosa/idli  etc.. . This Coconut thuvaiyal is very good with the Masala Paniyaram and also for Dosa/Idli. Very easy to make.

Urad dhal   - 2 tsp
Red chilli   - 2-3 ( according to your spicy needs)
Coconut     - 1 cup
onion          - 1 chopped
Tomato       - 1/2 chopped
Tamarind    - 1 blueberry size
salt              - 1/2 tsp
Coriander    - chopped ( optional)
oil                - 2tsp

Heat a pan . Add oil to it .
Then add the urad and when it turns slight brown add the red chilli and chopped onions.
Saute for a minute and then add the tomatoes as well and saute for few minutes.
Now add the tamarind and salt, corinder.
Saute for 1 -2 minutes and by now the raw smell of onions , tomatoes will be gone.
Now add the coconut to it and mix well and cook on the stove for a minute.
Turn off the heat and let it cool.
Grind it in the Mixie either coarsely or smooth texture.
Serve with Masala Paniyaram , dosa, idli etc...
