Beetroot Poriyal

               
                       Beetroot has lot of nutrients and considered to help the body in many ways for kids and adults. Recent study shows that it lowers your blood pressure, helps to reduce bad cholesterol ,beats osteoporosis , treats anemia ,boosts Brain power and many more .
When i saw the beetroot i thought of making the simple version and made this Poriyal.

Beetroot          - 3 cut into cubes
chilli               - 1 slit
mustard          -1/2 tsp
urad                - 1/4 tsp
oil                   - 1 tsp
Coconut          -1 tbsp ( grated)
salt


Take the beetroot and add water to it and cook them till tender.
Strain the water and keep it aside , we can use the water to make a soup.
Now take a pan and heat it .Add oil to it.
Then add the mustard ,urad and chilli.
Then add the cooked beetroot and saute for few minutes and add salt.
Then add the coconut to it and remove from fire.
Serve with rice,/ roti .
