Tomato Rasam is one of the South Indian Rasam. Its like a thin soup, tangy and Spicy ( depending on your taste). We can substitute the tamarind water with more tomatoes and little bit of lemon juice .(add the lemon juice if you are substituting for tamarind after taking of from the heat .). Very Easy to make and quick .It is a favorite of many.

Ingredients
Tomato - 2 grind with 1 cup of water
water  - 2 cups
Tamarind juice - 1/4 cup
salt -1 tsp
garlic - 1 crushed

Now Mix the 2 cups of water, tamarind water,  tomato with water which we ground and the rasam powder mix, salt. Now the Tomato Water Mix is ready for  Tomato Rasam
Take a Pan , heat it and add 1tsp oil .
When hot add the crushed garlic , turmeric and saute for few seconds .
Then add the Tomato Water Mix . Close the lid and let it boil. It will take few minutes.
By that time we make the seasoning for the Rasam
For that take a tiny pan for that. I used a Ladle which is stainless steel one.
Heat it on a small stove and be careful. Add 1- 2tsp oil to it and when hot add the mustard, asafoetida, redchilli , and curry leaves. When it splutters switch off the stove.
By now the Rasam will be boiling . Add the seasoning to it and then let it boil for few seconds. Then add the chopped coriander and switch off the flames
Yummy Tomato Rasam is Ready to serve with Rice or just like that.
