Okra Masala

 Today's recipe is also from our garden .From Garden to Table , easy to make ,organic 😋😋😋😋😋 and of course delicious. Call it  Vendaikkai Masala or Bhindi Masala, a good combination with Roti/Rice.

Ingredients

Okra - 2 bowl (approximately1.5 lb chopped 1/4 inch slices )

onion - 1/2 cup chopped

tomato - 1 chopped

turmeric -1/2 tsp

Curry powder- 1 tsp ( can substitute it with chili powder too)

salt

mustard - 1/4 tsp

oil - 2tsp

curry leaves - few

First we need to prepare the okra . We need to remove the stickiness. 
For this heat a pan  with 1-2 tsp oil. When hot add the okra and saute it by adding little salt till the stickiness is gone. Keep the heat in medium. When it is done remove it and keep it ready.After this within few minutes 

Heat a pan. Keep the flame  in medium.

Add 1-2 tsp oil. When hot add the mustard and allow it to pop/splatter. Then add the onion,curry leaves and saute.

Add salt and turmeric to it.Saute.

Then add the tomatoes and stir it. Add the curry powder and cook till the tomatoes get cooked and mashed.

Now add the okra which we had ready and mix it for 2-3 minutes.

Okra masala is ready and serve it hot with Rice or Roti.
