Oats Idli

 Idlis,Idlis,Idlis ...I love it. Dosa and Idli are my favorite. Today we are going to make Oats Idli.

                        Today I am using Rolled Oats. Rolled oats have 5 gms of fiber per 1/2 cup. The fiber in the oats helps lower cholesterol and may lower your risk of Type 2 diabetes, heart disease and obesity

Very easy to make ,soft, and tasty 😋😋😋 .For this we need only few ingredients and with this measurement we can make 30-32 Idlis



Ingredients

Oats-1 cup ( I used rolled oats)

Idli Rava- 1 cup

Urad dhal - 1 cup

salt - 1 tsp

Soak urad dhal for 2 hours

Soak the Idli rava and the oats seperately for an hour.

Grind Urad to a smooth consistency and the Rava and Oats to a little coarse consistency.

Add salt and then leave it for 6-8 hours to ferment.

After 6-8 hours it will be fermented and now we can make our Oats Idli.

First take Idli cooker/ Pan and get it ready .For that add water in the bottom. Grease the plates with oil and pour the dough. Stack the plates in the stand. Place it in the cooker.

Keep the flame in the medium and cook it for 10-12 minutes.

When you insert a knife or fork in Idli ,it will come clean. Then its ready.

After 12 minutes , when the Idli is ready switch of the stove. Allow  the plates to cool little bit and then remove it . 

Serve it with Sambhar and chutney...
