Chapathi/Roti/Layered Roti

 Chapathi/Roti is an easy recipe made with wheat flour is the same as we buy it as a whole wheat tortilla. When we make it at home and follow this simple recipe, we can get softer and tastier Roti. 

Make it just plain round or just layer it the ways I have shown, everyone will love it. You can choose between those 2 ways and you can have the layered Roti which is soft all the time and kids will enjoy it

It is simple and easy to make and requires only a few ingredients.


Wheat Flour - 2 cups

Water - 1 and 1/2 cups

Salt- 1tsp

oil

Mix the wheat flour, water, and salt and make it into the dough just like how we knead bread. 

Keep it aside for 15-30 minutes.

First way

Take the dough and make it into small balls.

Take one and roll it as a plain round. 

Heat a Tava and keep the flame in the medium. When the pan is hot, place it on the Tava and cook it with slight golden brown bubbles.

Cook it on both sides and the Roti/Chapathi is ready.



Second Way

Take a small ball of dough and roll it into a round.

Then apply oil on one side.

Take a Pizza cutter and cut it lengthwise.

Then roll it into a round and make it into a round disk just like the previous.

We can see the layers.

The heat that in the Tava on both sides adding oil if you want(adding oil is optional when cooking)

Cook on both sides and remove and serve with your favorite side dish or just like that with Ghee.

Third way

After you have rolled it into a thin round, apply oil and fold it just like the paper fan we make.

Then roll again into a round and we can see the layers just like the other one.

Now cook on both serve and serve hot.

Yummy and delicious Layered Roti/ Chapathi is ready.😋😋😋😋😋
