Teriyaki Tofu and Stir Fry Vegetables

 This Teriyaki Tofu and the stir fry vegetables is a yummy dish. It takes quiet a number of steps in the way I do it so that my kids and my dear would like it. It is still worth it though.

For preparing tofu

Tofu - 1 pack

Soy Sauce - 2 tbsp

Teriyaki Sauce - 2 tbsp

Pepper

For the vegetables

Broccoli

carrot - 1/2 cup chopped

Zucchini - 1/2 cup chopped

Green Bell Pepper - 1/2 cup chopped

Red Bell Pepper - 1/2 cup chopped

Orange Pepper - 1/4 cup chopped

Mushroom - 1 pack chopped

soy sauce - 1/4 cup

Teriyaki Sauce - 2 tbsp

salt if needed

Crushed black pepper as per taste

oil - 2 tsp

First, chop the tofu. There are two ways

1. Marinate the tofu with a little bit of the sauce and then toast it on the tava on all sides

2. Toast the tofu on all sides to a golden color and then marinate in the sauce which we made by mixing the soy and teriyaki sauce. Marinate overnight in the fridge or at least for 30 minutes.

Keep the vegetable ready. We can choose your vegetable the way we like

Now just  1/2 hour before eating  we can prepare this dish. We need to cook this in high flame . Wok is preferred but I made it in the skillet itself as I didn't have it.

First let's prepare the tofu

Heat a Wok/ Skillet.

Add a tsp of oil. Keep the flame in high.

Add the marinated tofu and stir fry for 2 -3 minutes or less.

After that keep it aside in a  bowl.

Then bring  the skillet back to heat and add the oil to it.

Keep the flame in high. Add the vegetables.

Stir fry for a minute and add the  1/4 cup soy sauce and the teriyaki sauce.  Add the black pepper and if needed add salt

Stir fry for another minute and then add the tofu.

Mix it and stir it for 2 minutes so.

Now its ready. Delicious Teriyaki Tofu and Stir Fry Vegetables is ready to serve with rice or Noodles.
