This is simple delicious soup. Very easy to make Instant Pot makes it more easier. Just put everything in the Instant Pot without sauté and Pressure Cook. In that way Instant Pot makes the cooking simple and lovable.
Red Lentil - 1 cup
green lentil - 1/2 cup
tomato can - 1
onion - 1 chopped
ginger - 1/2 tsp
garlic - 2 chopped
Celery - 1 chopped
carrot - 1 chopped
water - 4 cups
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
curry powder - 1 tsp
Kale - 1/2 cup chopped ( I had 1 cup)
Salt- 1tsp
Oil- 1 tsp
Lemon
Instant Pot
Take the Instant Pot. Plug it in . Put it in Sauté mode
Add oil.
Add the chopped onions , ginger paste , garlic, celery , carrot and sauté it.
Add the turmeric ,salt , curry powder , cumin to it and mix for a minute.
Then add the lentils , tomato , Kale to it and mix.
Add the water and check the salt and close the lid .
Cancel the sauté mode and turn the Pressure mode , temperature high, Beans Mode for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes turn it off and wait till the pressure is released.
Then either we can serve it without blending/mashing it with a toast of bread and a slice of Lemon
I used a hand blender and mashed it and served with a toast .
Yummy protein filled delicious soup is ready.
