Beans Poriyal

 

This beans  are from our garden . Fresh , organic and  delicious. mmm. Easy simple recipe and can be served with hot rice, rasam.

Beans - 250 gm (chopped)

onion-1/4 cup chopped

green chilli- 1 slit lengthwise ( you can add more if you want spicy)

split moong - 1/2 cup ( cooked perfect and don't mash)

oil- 2tsp

mustard - 1/2 tsp

urad - 1/2 tsp

curry leaves -nfew

salt to taste

Take the beans in a pressure cooker . Add enough water and pressure cook for 1-2 whistles.

After 2 whistles , let the pressure release  and drain the water and keep it aside.

We have the perfect cooked split moong ready..

Heat a Pan . Keep the flame in medium.

Add the 2 tsp oil and when it is hot add the mustard, urad. After it pops add the onion , chilli, curry leaves

Saute for a minute. Then add little salt, turmeric to it. If you have added salt in the beans while cooking , add little salt that is needed for the onions.

Then add the cooked beans and saute it for 2-3 minutes.

After that add the cooked moong dhal and mix it.

Mix it for a minute.

Switch off the flame

Transfer in a serving bowl and  delious Beans Poriyal is ready. 

serve hot with rice, sambhar, rasam
