Cabbage Poriyal with Moong dhal

           Cabbage is one of the Healthiest vegetable .... It has a ability to lower your cholesterol ... When I read this .. I was wow.. that is nice...As like the study says we have to include that vegetable 2-3 times per week.

The way its also cooked also should be considered... Always sauté or steam.. But the best way is to sauté it at medium heat  for few minutes and it also gets cooked fast..
Ingredients
Cabbage                - 1 cup chopped
Onion                    - 1 chopped[small one]
Green chilli          -  1slit lengthwise
Split Moong - 1/4 cup ( cook the moong perfectly without mashing)
Channa dhal        - 1 tbsp (optional)
mustard               - 1/2 tsp
urad                    - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves      - few
coconut               - 1-2 tbsp. shredded
Coriander leaves- few finely chopped for garnishing ( optional)
                           
                      Heat a Kadai and add 2tsp of oil. When it is hot add the mustard,urad, and channa and curry leaves.
When it is slightly brown add the chopped onions, green chilli, and stir for few minutes.
Then add the chopped cabbage and sauté for few more minutes . Add salt .  Mix and Stir fry
After few minutes the cabbage is cooked and tender.
Add the perfectly cooked moong to it and mix it gently. Stir fry for 1-2 minutes
Now switch off the stove and add the shredded coconut and garnish with coriander leaves.
Yummy delicious Cabbage Poriyal is Ready . 
Serve with hot rice, rasam.
