Today's recipe is a straightforward and yummy dish. We don't need to cook the mango, just need to season it and the yummy pickle is ready. It stays good for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
Mango- 1 washed and chopped
oil- 2 tsp
mustard- 1 tsp
asafoetida - 1/8 tsp
curry leaves
salt to taste
Pickle masala - 2 tsp ( we can adjust as per our taste)
turmeric- 1/4 tsp
Wash the mango, and peel the skin {if you don't like the skin, I did peel the skin }
Chop it and keep it in the bowl
Add the salt and the pickle masala.
Now for the seasoning. Heat a small pan, and keep the flame on medium.
Add the oil. When it is hot add mustard and it will start to pop, add the asafoetida.
Switch it off after adding the asafoetida. Then add the curry leaves.
Now add the seasoning to the Mango we had ready in the bowl and mix it.
The Mango pickle is now ready. Serve it at Lunch with Rice/ Roti as a condiment.
It can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days.
