This Aval recipe /Poha recipe can be made as a prasad for Puja. It is easy and quick to make. Jaggery can be used instead of Brown Sugar. I had light brown sugar
Making this Sweet Poha doesn't take much time, only a few minutes
Aval / Poha - 1 cup
Brown Sugar- 1/2 cup
coconut - 1/2 cup (shredded)
cardamom- 2
Cashews- few
Raisins- few
Ghee- 2 tsp
First, wash the poha and drain the water. Keep it aside.
Heat a Pan. Add the ghee to it. Keep the flame in medium.
When it is hot add the cashews and raisins. Fry it till it turns golden brown and remove it and keep it aside.
Then add the cardamom, Aval/Poha, and stir it. Add the brown sugar and keep on mixing it for a few minutes till the sugar gets mixed. It will take around 3-4 minutes or even less than that. Poha/Aval cooks quickly.
Add the fried cashews and raisins to it. Mix well. Add the shredded coconut to it, mix and switch off the stove.
Sweet Poha/Sweet Aval is ready to eat /Puja as prasad.
