Cranberry Sauce

  Can there be Thanksgiving without Cranberry Sauce? NO !!!!!

Thanksgiving and Cranberry Sauce go so well. I learned to make Cranberry Sauce here. It is so easy and straightforward to make. It is only with a few ingredients. We can make it in advance and store it in Refridgerator for up to 7 days. I used less sugar. It has a sweet-tart flavor

Yield - 2 cups                                            Total time- 20 minutes

Prep time - 5 minutes                                Cook time- 15 minutes

Cranberry- 1 pack ( 12 ounces)

Sugar - 1/2 cup ( we can add up to 1 cup)

Orange juice - 1/2 cup ( you can add less too)(optional)

Water- 1/2 cup

{If you don't want to add Orange juice add 1 cup of water instead 1/2 cup of water}

Wash the Cranberries and keep them aside.

Heat a saucepan. Keep the heat between low and medium.

Add the sugar and water and let the sugar dissolve. Keep stirring

 When the sugar is dissolved add the Cranberries to it.

Cook stirring occasionally and they will start to burst inside the pan. So after mixing, close it with the lid. It will slowly thicken. ( It will take around 10 minutes)

After it is cooked add the orange juice and stir it. The mixture will thicken in another 5 minutes.

Switch off the stove and transfer it into a bowl

Let it cool. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before you serve

Yummy delicious Cranberry Sauce is ready
