Simple Pan Fried Spicy Tofu

 This dish is a simple pan-fried tofu which I tried to impress my family and I wanted to create a tofu different way. It worked and turned out as a recipe that I make often. Everyone likes it.

Ingredients

Tofu - 2 pack

tomato - 2  {chop the tomatoes and grind them}

garlic powder - 1 tsp

Corn flour / Bajji/Gram flour - 2 tsp {I used Bajji flour}

salt as needed

curry powder - 1 tsp

Pav bhaji powder - 1/2 tsp {Optional}

turmeric - 1/8 tsp

oil

Now first drain the tofu and pat it with a paper towel to remove the excess water

Next,
cut it into cubes and Heat a pan. Add a tsp of oil and then pan-fry/toast it on both sides.

It will take just 3-4 minutes. Then remove the tofu in a bowl. Add the tomato that we ground, salt, Bhajji flour/Corn flour, garlic powder, curry powder, Pav Bhaji powder, and turmeric, and mix

This is like we are marinating so that the spice gets absorbed and gives a nice taste.

Keep this tofu and spice mixed up aside for 30-45 minutes.

After 30 minutes, heat a pan and add oil. The flame should be in the medium.

When it is hot add the mixed tofu and saute it till it gets a little crisp on the outside and it is cooked. It will take around 12-15 minutes or even less depending on how thin the tofu cubes are. After 10- 12 minutes Simple Pan-Fry Spicy tofu is ready
