Young, immature, and unripe figs tend to be small and green in hue. Green figs, a Caribbean staple, are a good source of vitamins and minerals, including potassium, iron, vitamin C, B6, magnesium, and manganese. These nutrients can help the body absorb vitamins from other foods and boost the immune system. Green figs also contain high levels of antioxidants and polyphenolic compounds, which can help protect the body from oxidative damage
