Mini Idli with Rice and Green Moong/ Green Moong Idli Mini๐Ÿ˜‹

 Today's Mini Idli is made with Raw rice and Green Moong. 
We can make Idli without urad too, just substitute urad with Green Moong  It is very different and moong being used in place of urad is a twist. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰

Simple and easy to make. Let's make it

In this Idli recipe, I am using Raw rice {whenever we use raw rice instead of Idli Rice or Boiled rice after you ferment add eno to it while making idli. This makes it soft}

Raw Rice- 4 cups

Green Moong - 1 cup {Whole Moong}

salt - 2tsp

Greenchilli - 1-2

Ginger - 1/2 tsp powder ( If using fresh about 1/2 tsp chopped)

Cumin - 1 tsp 

Eno- 1 1/2 tsp

Now soak the rice and moong for about 4-6 hours.

Then grind it like you are grinding for Idli/ Dosa

While grinding add the salt, cumin, ginger and chilli too.

Mix and allow to ferment.

The next day we can make Idli.

Today I am making mini Idli. Grease the Mini Idli plates with oil.Get ready the Idli pan to steam it

Add Eno to the dough and mix it

Then pour it into the greased mini Idli plate, place it inside the steamer on a medium flame, and close and steam for about 15-20 minutes.

We can check like cake. When you insert a knife/toothpick it should come clean.

Now Mini Idlis are ready. When little cool take it out.

Now for the Sambhar Idli

Make the Sambhar with your favorite vegetable and keep it aside.

Now take a bowl and add the sambhar to it .

Then add the idlis around 6-7 and garnish it with coriander and a tsp of ghee.

Serve hot/warm. Everyone will love it.
