Tzatziki Sauce/Tzatziki dip

                                                                                                                                                                             This homemade Tzatziki is fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor! Made with crunchy cucumber, creamy Greek yogurt, garlic, and herbs, it’s the perfect healthy dip or spread for sandwiches, wraps, veggies, or pita chips. Quick to make and incredibly refreshing for summer meals!

Ingredients

  • Grated cucumber – 1/2 cup
  • Greek yogurt – 1 cup
  • Garlic – 1 clove, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp
  • Olive oil – 1/2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Italian seasoning – 1 tbsp
    (or substitute with fresh dill – 1 tbsp)
  • Mint – 1 tbsp (optional)

Method

  1. Grate the cucumber using a vegetable chopper or grater.
  2. Squeeze out the excess water from the cucumber.
  3. Add the grated cucumber to a mixing bowl.
  4. Add the Greek yogurt, garlic, salt, olive oil, lemon juice, Italian seasoning (or fresh dill), and mint.
  5. Mix everything well until creamy and combined.
  6. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for about an hour for an even cooler and more refreshing flavor.
