                                                         Rava Upma

Ingredients
Rava [Sooji]     - 1 cup
Water              - 2 & 1/2 cups
onion               - 1 finely chopped
Tomato           -1/4 cup [optional]
Green chilli      -1-2
Salt
Mixed vegetables-1/2 cup
Oil                  - 2-3 tbsps
Mustard         - 1tsp
Curryleaves    -few


Take a pan and heat it. Add oil to it
Fry the rava till the nice aroma comes and keep it aside
When it is hot, add mustard, curry leaves.
Then add onion,green chilli, vegetables ,tomato and saute for few minutes
After that add the two and half cups of water and salt .
Allow it to boil
When it starts to boil add slowly the rava by stirring constantly to avoid forming lumps.
Lower the flame and let it cook for few minutes.
[I usually check if it is done with my wet fingers and touch it after all the water is gone, it shouldn't stick to your fingers]
Now the upma is ready. Serve it with coconut chutney.
