Ragi Idli
Version 2
This ragi idli is only with ragi and urad dhal, salt.
Nowadays many people want to reduce the rice intake . So i thought i will try this version and it came out good and soft delicious.
Ingredients
Ragi flour - 3 cups
Urad - 1 cup
salt
Soak the urad dhal in water for 4-5 hours. Then grind the urad dhal to a smooth consistency and add ragi flour to it and add water. Mix it nicely without any lumps and add salt as needed and allow it to ferment it.
The dough should be neither thick nor thin.
Next day make the idli pan ready with water and pour the dough in the idli plate and close and steam it for 10-15 minutes.
Nice soft delicious idli is ready to serve.
Idli with tomato thokku..... mouth watering isn't it....
