Corn Kuzhambhu
Whenever i buy corn my mind would be blank for recipes or what to do with corn other than boiling . When my husband visited our family friend he had this kuzhambhu and liked it very much. I called her the next day and she shared her recipe with me and from that on we started having it whenever we buy corn. As i liked it so much i wanted to share it here. I make it good but our friend makes it so yummy and this one is the very closest to it.
Ingredients
Corn - 2{each cut into thirds}
Onion - 1 big cut lengthwise
Tomato - 1 medium size
tomato paste - 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Chicken curry powder - 1 tsp
[If you don't want chicken curry powder you can use curry powder]
Ginger paste-1 tsp
Garlic paste -1/2 tsp
Ginger paste-1 tsp
Garlic paste -1/2 tsp
salt
seasoning
mustard - 1 tsp
fenugreek - 1/2 tsp
fennel seeds-1/2 tsp
[saunf]
oil -1 tbsp
curry leaves-few
Take a pan and heat it.Add oil to it and then when it is hot add the seasoning.
Then add the onions and saute for few minutes.After that add the ginger and garlic paste.
Saute it and then add the tomatoes and tomato paste to it. Then add the corns to it.
Saute till the tomatoes are cooked and add the chilli powder and curry powder. Now add water and salt to it.
Transfer it to a cooker and cook for 2- 3 whistles .It is ready...
Serve it with hot rice or roti....Its tangy and sweetness of the the corn will make you want to eat more....mmmmm yummy and so easy to make
