Masala Idli



               When I have Idlis  it is very easy to turn it into something interesting and colorful. Especially for the Kids Lunch everyday they want something different and colorful.
In this recipe we can add vegetables to it. Lets make it.

Idlis                  - 5-6 cut into cubes.
Onion               - 1/2 chopped
Tomato paste   - 1 tsp
Ginger  paste -1/2 tsp
Garlic paste   - 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
oil                       - 2 tsp
Curryleaves       -few
mustard             - 1/2 tsp
Cashews            - few
Coriander           - few chopped finely.

Take a kadai.
Heat it and add oil to it . Then add the mustard to it. Add the cashews too.
After it splutters add the onion , ginger garlic paste.
Saute for few minutes and when the raw smell goes add the tomato paste and the dry powders(turmeric and red chilli powder).
Let it cook little bit.
Then add the curry leaves to it and salt to the masala.
After 2-3 minutes when the masala leaves oil around the edges showing that the masala is cooked perfect add the cut idlis and mix nicely .
Take care not to mash the idlis.
When the idlis are coated with the masala add the chopped coriander and transfer to a bowl.
For the Lunch box yummy Idlis are ready.Accompany it with Roasted Sunflower seeds ,Butter Cookies.
