Today I made Green Mung Soup. Wow ....it was filling ,tasty and so simple to make.
This Soup has lot of benefits. Ayurveda says that this soup helps in balancing 3 doshas . Green Mung Beans are a healthful source of vitamin, fiber, proteins and minerals.
Green Mung Bean - 1 cup
ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
garlic - 3 chopped
cumin - 1 &1/2 tsp
salt - 1 tsp
turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Black pepper - depending upon your how spicy we need
oil/ghee- 2 tsp
lemon
First Pressure Cook the green moong dhal with enough water for to 2 whistles. I did on stove top.
When it cools down ,grind it with hand mixer. Keep it aside.
Now heat a pan on the stove . Keep the flame in medium.
Add 2tsp ghee . When hot add the cumin. let it pop then add turmeric, garlic, ginger and sauté it.
Now add the ground moong dhal. Add the 2-3 cups of water.
Let it boil. Add salt to it. Add cumin powder too and that is optional.
When it starts to boil add the black pepper to it too and after it boils we can switch it off.
Yummy delicious Green Moong Dhal Soup is ready.
Serve it with little ghee and lemon with bread on the side.
So simple and quick 😋😋😋😋
