Apple Pickle

Today's recipe is a very simple pickle. I got some Apples from my garden today. They are organic and fresh from the garden. So wanted to use it and also preserve those. It has to be simple and quick because it changes colorfast as soon as we cut those apples and not like the store bought that stay on the table for a while. Tried this way of making the pickle and it turned out so good.

Ingredients

Apples- 2-3 washed and chopped

oil- 1 tbsp

mustard- 1 tsp

asafoetida - 1/8 tsp

curry leaves

salt to taste

Pickle masala - 2 tsp ( we can adjust as per our taste)

turmeric- 1/4 tsp

First, wash the apples. Remove the skin and chop those apples.

Put those chopped apples in the bowl of water.

After you have chopped those apples drain the water and add it to the mixing bowl.

Add 3/4 tsp of salt. !/4 tsp of turmeric and  2 tsp of pickle powder and mix it.

In a small Kadai ( I used a spoon as it was easy for me) add oil and heat it.

When the oil is hot, add the mustard, asafoetida. When it starts to pop, take it off the heat and add the curry leaves. ( In this curry leaves don't get burnt and stay green too)

Add this to the apple mixture and mix.

Yummy Apple Pickle is ready to serve
