Pongal with Idli Rava

  Today's recipe is Pongal with Idli rava. Yummy and very easy to make Try this one for Breakfast and you will enjoy it.


Moong dhal[yellow]     -1/4 cup

Idli Rava                        - 1 cup

Black pepper                 -1/2 tsp {depending upon how much you want}

cumin seeds                   -1 tsp
salt
water                               -5 cups
Seasoning
Onion                              -1 medium chopped(optional)
Green chill                      -1
Bayleaf 
curryleaves
black pepper and cumin crushed-1tsp
cashews                          -1 tbsp
Raisins                            -1 tbsp
oil
ghee                                 -2-3 tbsps

Take a Pressure Cooker. Heat it on a medium flame

Add the Moong dhal, 5 cups of water, salt, cumin, black pepper

Then add the Idli Rava. Mix well.

Close the lid and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles

When cooked remove it and keep aside. 

Then take a pan and add oil.

When the oil is hot add bay leaf, onion, chili,curryleaves, and cashews and saute for 2 minutes. 

Then add the cooked Idli Rava and dhal to it and add crushed pepper and cumin .

Saute for 5 minutes and mix it well. 

Now add ghee and remove it from the stove

Serve hot with Sambhar/ Coconut Chutney.
