🌟 Protein Power Dosa
Description:
A healthy, protein-packed dosa made with green and yellow moong, channa dal, peanuts, and just a touch of rice. Perfect for a nutritious meal.
Ingredients:
- Green Moong: 1/2 cup
- Yellow Moong: 1/4 cup
- Channa Dal: 1/4 cup
- Raw Peanuts: 1/4 cup
- Raw Rice: 1/4 cup (increase to 1/2 cup if desired)
- Salt: To taste
Instructions:
Soak Ingredients
- Soak all ingredients (except salt) in water for 4–5 hours or overnight.
Prepare Batter
- Grind the soaked ingredients into a smooth batter.
- Add salt to taste.
- Ferment it overnight
- We can make the Dosa without fermenting too
Cook the Dosa
- Heat a cast iron or non-stick pan over medium flame.
- Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it thinly in a circular motion.
- Cook until golden brown, flip if needed, and serve hot.
Serving Suggestions:
- Option 1: Spread tomato or onion chutney over the dosa before removing from the pan. Fold and serve.
- Option 2: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the dosa just before removing it from the pan. Let it melt, fold, and serve.
Tips & Variations:
- Add fresh spinach or coriander while grinding for extra nutrition and color.
- Enhance flavor by mixing cumin seeds, black pepper, or green chilies into the batter.
- Serve with mint-coconut chutney for a refreshing twist.
- For crispy dosas, spread batter thinly and cook on higher heat.
Pair with: Tomato chutney, onion chutney, or mint-coconut chutney for a complete meal.
