Parmesan Crisps (Stovetop Method)

Ingredients:

  • Freshly shredded Parmesan cheese (as needed)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Cheese:
Shred Parmesan cheese using a fine grater. Freshly shredded cheese melts and crisps up better than pre-packaged.

  2. Heat the Pan:
Place a non-stick or cast iron pan on the stove over medium heat. Allow it to warm up for a minute or two.

  3. Make the Crisps:
Spoon small mounds of shredded cheese onto the hot pan, leaving space between each. Gently spread each mound into a thin circle using the back of a spoon.

  4. Cook:
Let the cheese melt and bubble. After about 2–3 minutes, the edges will turn golden. Flip carefully and cook for another 1–2 minutes until both sides are crispy.

  5. Cool and Serve:
Remove the crisps and place them on a paper towel or cooling rack. They will firm up as they cool. Enjoy as is or store in an airtight container for a day or two.
