This classic Indian street-style chaat is a perfect balance of flavors—spicy, tangy, sweet, and creamy—all in one bite. It combines soft ragda (white pea curry), crispy aloo patties, and vibrant chutneys for a truly irresistible treat.

Ingredients

  • Ragda – A flavorful curry made with white peas, potatoes, and aromatic spices
  • Aloo Patties – Crispy potato patties (like a spiced potato burger)
  • Tamarind Chutney – Sweet and tangy
  • Coriander (Green) Chutney – Fresh and spicy
  • Onion – Finely chopped
  • Tomato – Finely chopped
  • Yogurt – Slightly thinned and mixed with a pinch of cumin powder
  • Lemon juice – Optional
  • Sev – For garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by pouring warm ragda onto a serving plate or bowl.
  2. Place the aloo patty on top of the ragda.
  3. Drizzle coriander (green) chutney evenly over the patty.
  4. Add tamarind chutney for a sweet and tangy flavor.
  5. Pour the prepared yogurt generously over the top.
  6. Sprinkle chopped onions and tomatoes.
  7. Add a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
  8. Finish with a generous sprinkle of sev.
