Crispy Potato Masala in the Air Fryer
Making Potato Masala in the Air Fryer or Instant Pot Duo Crisp is such an easy and fuss-free method! It uses very little oil, requires minimal stirring, and still gives you beautifully crispy, flavorful potatoes. You can always adjust the cooking time if you prefer them extra crispy.
Ingredients
- potatoes-5-6 cubed
- Salt, to taste
- garlic powder (optional)-1 tsp
- red chili powder-1/4 tsp
- curry powder -1 tsp
- oil - 2 tsp
Method
- Wash and cube the potatoes using a vegetable chopper or knife.
- In a mixing bowl, add the cubed potatoes along with salt, garlic powder, red chili powder, curry powder, and oil. Mix well until the potatoes are evenly coated with the spices.
- Prepare the Instant Pot Duo Crisp/Air Fryer by lightly greasing the bottom with a little oil.
- Add the seasoned potatoes to the air fryer basket or inner pot and close the lid.
- Set the Air Fry mode to 400°F and cook for 20 minutes.
- Halfway through cooking, open the lid and give the potatoes a quick toss or mix for even crispiness.
- After 20 minutes, the delicious crispy Potato Masala is ready to enjoy! Serve hot as a snack, side dish, or with rice and curry.
Tips
- For extra crispy potatoes, air fry for an additional 3–5 minutes.
- You can also add paprika, black pepper, or Italian seasoning for a flavor twist.
